Privacy

• There is no analytics. No Google Analytics, no visit counter, nobody’s tracking pixel.
• There are no cookies. That is why you will not see a banner asking you to accept them: there would be nothing to consent to, and a banner asking permission for nothing is lying the other way round.
• Nothing is stored in your browser. No localStorage, no sessionStorage, no storage of any kind.
• There is no sign-up, no accounts and no session. There is ONE form — the suggestions one — and it is explained in full below.
• There is no advertising, no third-party networks and no data to hand to anyone.

The map remembers where you are looking — the framing, which layers are on, the house you have in focus, the year on the era line — and it writes it into the ADDRESS BAR, inside the URL itself. That is why you can copy the link and show someone exactly what you are looking at.

That state never leaves your screen: it travels to no server and is saved nowhere. When you close the tab, nothing remains.

It is the only thing on this site that collects anything, and it only starts when you press “Send”. While you type nothing leaves your screen: there is no autosave, no draft in the browser, nothing that travels as you write.

When you send it, exactly four things leave, and nothing else:

• Whatever you wrote in the box.
• What kind of proposal it is (a place is missing, something is wrong, a house or a person is missing, an idea).
• The address of the page you came from, if you arrived from a place’s or a house’s entry. It is what stops “this castle is in the wrong spot” from arriving with 639 candidates.
• Your email, ONLY if you type it. The field is optional and the suggestion is sent without it: the only thing lost is the reply.

The message first reaches a function on this same domain and from there it is forwarded to the project’s mailbox through a relay service. Your browser does not talk to that service: it only talks to this site. There is no database: what you send is stored on no server of this project — it lives in the mailbox of whoever reads it, and stays there as long as it takes to reply to you and correct the datum.

While the function handles the send it looks at your IP address to count how many messages come from it in ten minutes and hold off junk. That count lives in the server’s memory, is written nowhere, does not travel with the message and disappears on its own. The IP is not stored.

What you send is used for one thing only: replying to you and correcting the atlas. It is passed to nobody and goes on no mailing list. If you want it deleted, ask at this address and it is deleted. And there is still a plain email link, in case you would rather write from your own inbox instead of using the form. equipo@aidestudio.com

The site is hosted on Vercel Inc., and a web server records the requests it serves: the IP address they come from, the date and time, the page requested and the browser requesting it. These are the technical logs any server keeps in order to run and to defend itself against abuse, and they happen before this project paints a single pixel.

There is no analytics dashboard on top of those logs, they are not cross-referenced with anything, and this project does not exploit them. The provider keeps them under its own policy. Vercel Inc. privacy policy

If you have written to us — through the form or by email — the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to ask for access to whatever we hold about you — which will be your message and, if you gave it, your email address —, to have it corrected, to have it erased and to object to its use. You ask by writing to the same address; there is no procedure to fill in. The legal basis is your own act of sending: you write to us, and by doing so you consent to our replying.
