Morion Martell
Morion Nymeros Martell inherited the seat of Sunspear and the title of Prince of Dorne during the reign of Jaehaerys I Targaryen.
His name became tied to a break with his father's cautious rule and to the decision that dragged Dorne back into war against the Seven Kingdoms.

Morion succeeded his father as head of House Martell, inheriting Sunspear and the title of Prince of Dorne while the Iron Throne was held by Jaehaerys I Targaryen.
Archmaester Gyldayn's writings describe him as a reckless, headstrong young man. He was enraged by his father's passivity during the Third Dornish War, and that anger set the course Dorne took once he was in command.
Chapter 2
The Fourth Dornish War

Determined to do what his father had not, Morion launched an invasion of the Stormlands. The conflict became known as the Fourth Dornish War.
The campaign ended with Morion's death in 83 AC. He was succeeded as ruler of Dorne by his sister, Princess Mara Martell.
