Olly
Olly was a young man from the North who, after losing his family in a wildling raid, arrived at Castle Black and became a recruit of the Night's Watch. There he was soon noted for his skill with a bow, in a life shaped by his distrust of those who had taken his home from him.
Chapter 1
The raided village

Olly was returning to his village in the North with his father when the wildlings fell upon it. Ygritte killed his father and Styr killed his mother, but they let the boy live so he could carry word to Castle Black that the wildlings were coming.
He delivered the warning and, once at Castle Black, stayed on: he joined the Night's Watch and began training alongside the black brothers. He claimed to have been the best archer in his village, able to kill a rabbit from a great distance.
Chapter 2
The arrow that killed Ygritte

During the battle of Castle Black, Olly worked the lever that raised and lowered the Wall's lift, hidden from the attackers' sight.
When Ygritte found Jon Snow and was about to kill him, Olly shot her with an arrow that pierced her heart.
Chapter 3
The mutiny against Jon Snow

Olly joined the mutiny by part of the Night's Watch against Jon Snow, his Lord Commander. It was Olly who delivered the final blow, stabbing Jon in the heart.
Chapter 4
The cut rope

When the mutineers tried to hold on to control of Castle Black, Jon Snow, who had returned from the dead, acted as executioner. He cut the rope from which four of the traitors hung, and Olly was one of them.
