Olyvar Martell
On this tab
Olyvar Nymeros Martell was a Prince of Dorne by birth, the third child of the Princess of Dorne and a brother of Doran Martell. He died in childhood, and that early death would shape for years what his family expected of the children born after him.
Childhood and Siblings
Olyvar was the third child of the Princess of Dorne. Because his brother Mors had also died as a child, Doran grew up certain he had no siblings left who would live to adulthood.
Years later, when Elia was born prematurely, Doran assumed she would meet the same fate as Mors and Olyvar and not survive. That was not what happened: Elia grew up, becoming the second daughter of the Princess of Dorne to reach adulthood.
