House Terrick
Casa Terrick
House Terrick is a family of the Riverlands that answers to House Baelish of Harrenhal. It belongs to that class of houses whose name only surfaces in the record when it brushes against the politics of the great, and in its case that brush was with the struggle between the Faith of the Seven and the Iron Throne.
Of the house itself little survives beyond its name and its arms: a field quartered in purple and gold, charged with four hawks' heads.
Chapter 1
Vassals of Harrenhal
Books only
No source grants the Terricks a castle of their own, nor a seat that can be placed on a map. What does survive is their allegiance: they serve House Baelish, lords of Harrenhal, within the web of lesser houses that hold up that domain in the Riverlands.
They are known by a saltire-quartered coat, two fields of purple and two of gold, each bearing a hawk's head. It is nearly all that remains of them outside one particular episode of their history.
Chapter 2
The widowed queen's fire
Books only
When the Faith of the Seven rose against the Iron Throne, the Terricks sided with it rather than the crown, a choice they shared with other Riverlands houses, and one that cost them all the same way.
The answer came from the sky: the widowed queen Visenya Targaryen flew across the region on Vhagar and set fire to the seats of the rebel houses, the Terricks' among them. There is no record of the house ever recovering what it lost that day.
