Land of the Shrykes

The Land of the Shrykes is a region of Essos about which little is known for certain, except that whoever mentions it does so warily. Its reputation precedes it as a hostile territory, home to the creatures that give the place its name: the shrykes, screeching monsters more rumored about than documented.
It lies wedged between the Bleeding Sea and the Dothraki Sea's Forbidding, sheltered to the south by the Five Forts, with its only known settlement, K'Dath, sitting at its northern edge beside the Grey Waste.
