Longbow Hall is the seat of House Hunter, set on the mountain slopes of the southern Vale of Arryn, near the Fingers. Its maester, Willamen Frey, keeps the castle running.
A Targaryen king passed through on his progress across the Vale. Centuries later, noble retinues crossed the same land on their way to the Eyrie.

In 52 AC, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen reached Longbow Hall during his progress through the Vale of Arryn, one stop among many in a reign that spent its early years touring the realm in person.

After marrying Petyr Baelish at his small keep in the Fingers, Lysa Tully set out for the Eyrie with her new husband and her niece, Sansa Stark, and the road took them through Longbow Hall, on the Vale's mountain slopes.
