The Northern Provinces are a region on the continent of Essos. The point marks a broad area rather than an exact spot. The Golden Empire of Yi Ti lies about 120 leagues to the south, the Shrinking Sea about 130 leagues to the north, and Tiqui about 140 leagues to the west.
