Redgrass Field

el Prado Hierbarroja

Redgrass Field is a field that had no name until a battle stained it red. Daemon Blackfyre fell there, and the place remained marked by his death and by those who, years later, still come to remember it.

Chapter 1

The field that turned red

196 ACBooks only

Before the battle, the place had no name of its own: it was just a field. It was after the fighting, when the grass was left stained deep red by the blood spilled there, that it came to be called Redgrass Field.

Chapter 2

Pilgrims of flowers

212 ACBooks only

According to Lord Brynden Rivers, sixteen years after the battle, there were still people who came to Redgrass Field to plant flowers where Daemon Blackfyre had fallen. He described them as old fools and discontented young men.
