Skahazadhan
el Skahazadhan
The Skahazadhan is a river of Essos that rises between the southern Dothraki Sea and the northern Red Waste, and after gathering the waters of two main tributaries it runs through Meereen before emptying into Slaver's Bay.
Slow-flowing and brown-watered, it is the trade route linking the city to the sea, which is exactly why it becomes a target for anyone who wants to strangle Meereen without storming its walls.
Chapter 1
The blockade of the river
300 ACBooks only
With Meereen already in Daenerys Targaryen's hands, those opposed to her rule find in the Skahazadhan a weaker point to strike than the city itself: they cut off the river.
The blockade is not meant to bring a battle, but to choke the trade moving along its waters down to Slaver's Bay, leaving Meereen cut off from much of what reaches it by sea.
The physical world

What we are not sure about
PositionWe worked it out
The position was inferred from the label on the base map rather than from a symbol of its own: it marks the area, not the point.
