Joffrey Lonmouth
Ser Joffrey Lonmouth, known as the Kissing Knight, was a knight of House Lonmouth in the service of House Velaryon and a very close friend of Ser Laenor Velaryon — close enough that the court whispered about the true nature of that friendship.
His name became forever tied to the tourney held at Laenor's wedding to Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, where he rode as the groom's champion alongside Ser Harwin Strong and against Ser Criston Cole, and later to the Velaryon family itself, who eventually gave his name to one of their sons.

Laenor VelaryonJoffrey Lonmouth was a knight of House Lonmouth when he entered the service of House Velaryon. He formed a very close friendship with Laenor Velaryon, and rumors of the time went as far as naming him his lover.

Criston ColeAt the wedding of Ser Laenor Velaryon and Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Joffrey rode as Laenor's champion in the tourney, while Ser Harwin Strong did the same for the princess. Ser Criston Cole, champion of Queen Alicent Hightower and Rhaenyra's former sworn shield, argued with the princess during the joust and took it out on the other competitors.
Cole singled out Joffrey, striking him in the head with a morningstar. The knight never regained consciousness and died six days later. According to the jester Mushroom, Laenor never left his side and wept when his death was confirmed.

The legacy of a name
Corlys VelaryonSer Laenor wanted to name his first son after Joffrey, but his father, Lord Corlys Velaryon, forbade it. In time, it was his third son who received the name of his late friend.
