Larra Rogare

Born in 115 AC, Larra was a daughter of Lysandro Rogare, a Lysene banker who held Prince Viserys Targaryen hostage in his household. She married him in 134 AC, when Viserys was twelve. Her uncle Drazenko revealed the prince's whereabouts to Lord Alyn Velaryon at Sunspear, and Lysandro only handed him over after demanding that the marriage never be annulled. Alyn brought Viserys to King's Landing along with Larra, three of her brothers, and her guard, Sandoq the Shadow; the regents of Aegon III confirmed the marriage as lawful.

At the Red Keep, Larra never adapted: she relied on translators instead of learning the Common Tongue, kept her Lysene servants, and continued worshipping her own gods. The court soon grew suspicious of her: it was said the cats that prowled her chambers were her spies, that she could take that shape herself, and she was blamed for children who vanished because of her worship of Saagael. In the third month of 135 AC she gave birth to her first son, Aegon, anointed with the seven oils of the Faith even as she wished her own gods to bless him too.

The collapse of the Rogare Bank, following the deaths of Lysandro and Drazenko and the squandering of its gold by her brother Lysaro, led Ser Marston Mares to order Larra's arrest. Viserys and King Aegon III refused the guards entry, and Larra, her husband, the king, Queen Daenaera Velaryon, and several servants were shut inside Maegor's Holdfast for eighteen days, while the Rogares stood accused of plotting to poison the king and queen; Viserys proved the confession had been forced under torture.

In 136 AC, pregnant with her second child, Larra attended the trials of her brothers alongside Viserys and young Aegon, and wept when Lord Torrhen Manderly passed sentence on Lotho and Roggerio. She later bore a son, Aemon, and two years after that a daughter, Naerys. She was never happy in Westeros, and in 139 AC she returned to Lys, leaving behind her husband and their three children. She died there in 145 AC, of unknown causes.

She was remembered as a woman of Valyrian beauty, tall and slender, with pale gold hair and purple eyes, always dressed in Lysene fashion. She spoke High Valyrian and the dialects of Lys, Myr, Tyrosh, and Volantis fluently, but never the Common Tongue. She worshipped gods such as Pantera, Yndros the Twilight, Bakkalon, and Saagael, and loved hearing her guard Sandoq play a great stringed instrument, music that always made her cry.
