Wolkan
Wolkan is a maester, tasked with tending to health, counsel and ravens for the house he serves. He works first at the Dreadfort for House Bolton, and later at Winterfell for House Stark.
Chapter 1
The Boltons' maester

Wolkan serves as maester at the Dreadfort, seat of House Bolton in the North. When Lord Roose Bolton gathers his household to announce that his wife Walda is expecting a child, Wolkan is the one who ventures that it will be a boy.
Chapter 2
The night of knives at the Dreadfort

Wolkan watches Ramsay Bolton kill Myranda and is ordered to feed her body to the hounds. Soon after, he tells Lord Bolton that Walda's child will be a boy, and moments later witnesses Ramsay kill his own father.
Terrified, he follows orders and tells the northern troops that their lord died poisoned by his enemies. When Ramsay commands him to bring Walda and the newborn, he first tries to protect them, but in the end carries out what he is told.
Chapter 3
In service to the Starks

After Ramsay dies at Jon Snow's hands in the Battle of the Bastards, Wolkan enters the service of House Stark at Winterfell. He warns of the shortage that feeding such a large army threatens to cause, and builds a wheelchair for Bran Stark.
On Bran's orders, he sends ravens across Westeros reporting that he has seen White Walkers near Eastwatch by the Sea. He is also present at Petyr Baelish's trial and execution.
Chapter 4
The coronation at Winterfell

Wolkan is still at his post when Daenerys Targaryen arrives at Winterfell with her army. After the queen's death and Bran's naming as the new king of the Seven Kingdoms, it is Wolkan who crowns Sansa Stark as Queen in the North.
