House Brightstone was a First Men line that ruled the Fingers, in the Vale of Arryn, holding the title of King of the Fingers.
What is known of its history comes down to the end of that kingship, when Andal lords arriving in the region tested its hold over the Vale's eastern coast.

The fall of the King of the Fingers

King Jon of House Brightstone was at war with Dywen Shell over the crown of the Fingers. Seeking an edge, he brought a group of newly arrived Andal lords into the fight on his side.
The bargain turned against him: those lords seized him, tortured him, and beheaded him. Ser Corwyn Corbray then took the dead king's daughter as his wife and claimed the lordship of the Fingers for himself.
