House Dutton is a minor noble house of the Vale of Arryn, sworn to the lords of the Eyrie.

Almost nothing is known of them beyond a single moment: when the Vale was left without an undisputed heir, House Dutton took a side in the fight over the lordship.

Lady Jeyne Arryn died without a clear line of succession, and the regent Ser Corwyn Corbray was murdered soon after. The Vale was left with no one holding undisputed authority over the lordship of the Eyrie, and this happened during the reign of Aegon III Targaryen.

Facing that vacancy, several Vale houses moved to press or back a claim on the title. House Dutton put forward no candidate of its own: it joined House Royce in supporting Ser Arnold Arryn against the other claimants.
