House Fell of Felwood

When Aegon the Conqueror landed in Westeros, the Fells stayed loyal to King Argilac Durrandon. Lord Fell joined Lords Errol and Buckler in a surprise strike on Orys Baratheon's vanguard as it crossed the Aguastortas toward Storm's End, leaving a thousand dead among the trees before vanishing back into the woods. Queen Rhaenys Targaryen answered from Meraxes's back, turning the whole forest into a wall of fire. Lord Fell fled with Lord Buckler to Argilac's lines, carrying the queen's warning.

After the First Dornish War had begun, Lord Fell was killed in a brothel in King's Landing, supposedly at Dornish hands, though nothing settled the matter for certain.

When the Dance of the Dragons broke out, supporters of Aegon II Targaryen executed Lady Fell for backing Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen's claim to the throne.

At the start of the war among five claimants to the crown, the Fells are believed to have backed Renly Baratheon before switching to his brother Stannis.

Lord Harwood Fell rode north among the retinue that accompanied King Stannis on his march to the Wall.

As Stannis pushed on toward Winterfell, Lord Harwood tried to save four horses that had broken through a hidden frozen pool. His own knights pulled him from the water in time to spare him from drowning, but not from the fever that followed, and it was that fever that killed him.
