Battle of Summerhall

When Robert Baratheon made it back to Storm's End, he began rallying his own bannermen to stand against King Aerys II Targaryen. Not every lord in the region answered the call: several nobles from the Stormlands and the Riverlands stayed loyal to the crown.

Fell, Cafferen and Grandison agreed to join their forces at the ruins of Summerhall before marching on Storm's End. Robert got ahead of the plan and brought his men there before the three armies could combine.

Little is known about how the fighting actually went. Robert reached the meeting point first and took on each force as it arrived, defeating all three separately within the same day. He killed Lord Fell himself, in single combat.

The victory left Robert in control of the Stormlands with no enemy left behind him, and the rest of the region's lords eventually fell in behind his cause. With that flank secured, he could march his forces toward the Reach.

Lord Fell's son, known as Silver Axe, was taken prisoner along with Grandison and Cafferen, and all three were brought to Storm's End. In time they joined Robert's side, and all of them would die fighting for him.
