House Lanny

Casa Lanny de Lannisport

House Lanny of Lannisport is a minor house of the Westerlands, settled in the port that bears its name and sworn to House Lannister of Casterly Rock, to whom it is distantly related.

It shares that origin and that seat with other small families of the area, such as House Lannett or House Lantell, and many of its members still carry the fair Lannister hair.

Chapter 1

Those who left the Rock

Books only

The origin of House Lanny goes back to the Age of Heroes, when the Lannisters had grown so numerous that Casterly Rock no longer had room for all of them. Rather than dig further into the stone, several members from branches distant from the main line chose to build a home in a nearby village.

That settlement prospered over time into what became Lannisport, and House Lanny was one of the families that grew out of that split.
