House Wade
Casa Wade
House Wade was one of the royal houses that ruled fragments of Dorne before the Andals crossed the Narrow Sea, holding lands along the Greenblood river and the eastern coast. Its story closes with the arrival of the adventurer Morgan Martell, whose conquest ended its kingdom.
Chapter 1
A kingdom by the Greenblood
Books only
Before the Andals came, twelve houses divided the lands along the Greenblood river and Dorne's eastern coast. Each of them, House Wade among them, claimed the title of High King of Dorne, though none managed to hold lasting power over the rest.
That balance broke when these houses turned on one another. Out of that rebellion emerged a House Wade that no longer shared a crown with anyone: it ruled its own kingdom, bordering the lands of House Shell.
Chapter 2
Morgan Martell's conquest
Books only
House Wade's kingdom ended with the Andals. Morgan Martell landed with his kin and marched on the lands the house had ruled for generations.
The defeat was total: Morgan burned the Wades' castles, seized their villages, and set up his own rule there. No record survives of any member of the house living on to the present day.
