Dunstonbury
Dunstonbury is a castle in the Reach, the original seat of House Manderly before the crown seized it and handed it to House Peake.
Its history is that of two houses that fought over it by royal decree, and its imprint still lives on far away, in the castle the Manderlys built in the North in its likeness.
Chapter 1
The castle the Manderlys lost

Dunstonbury was House Manderly's seat in the Reach. King Perceon III Gardener grew wary of the house's rising power and ordered Lord Lorimar Peake to drive them from their lands.
As a reward for carrying out the king's order, Perceon III handed Dunstonbury itself, along with all the lands attached to it, to House Peake. The Manderlys, having settled in the North, built a new home there, New Castle, at White Harbor, raised in the likeness of the castle they had lost.
Chapter 2
Seized over someone else's rebellion

Generations later, Dunstonbury still belonged to House Peake when Lord Gormon Peake chose to back Daemon Blackfyre's rebellion against King Daeron II Targaryen.
Defeat came at a cost: Daeron II stripped the Peakes of both Sotoblanco and Dunstonbury itself as punishment for that loyalty. What became of the castle afterward is unknown, and whether any noble house holds it today remains unclear.
