Ironman's Bay is the stretch of sea separating the Iron Islands from the rest of Westeros, set between the Westerlands and the Riverlands. It is the ironborn's water gate onto the continent, the passage between their archipelago and the lands they have raided for centuries.

A bay between two coasts

The bay opens along the western coast of Westeros, with the Riverlands on one side and the northern edge of the Westerlands on the other. It is closed to the north by the Flint Cliffs, beyond which lie the Neck and Eagle's Point, though those lands already face another shore.
The Iron Islands rise within its waters, so that crossing the bay is, for anyone approaching by land from the west or south, the only way to reach the domain of the ironborn.
