Lorassyon
Lorassyon is the second largest island of the Lorathi archipelago, almost entirely taken up by a labyrinth-temple that sinks several levels underground.
Its galleries have seen forgotten builders pass through, a conqueror who turned it into his stronghold, and the last followers of a fallen god who took refuge among its stones.
Chapter 1
The labyrinth temple
Books only
Three quarters of the island vanish beneath a stone labyrinth that drops four levels and reaches five hundred feet down. Visitors have long taken it for a great haunted temple, a reputation that has held for centuries.
Builders who arrived in ancient times raised these galleries, and only their work remains — nothing more is known of who they were.
Chapter 2
Qarlon the Great's tower
Books only
After seizing control of the islands, the conqueror Qarlon the Great had a wooden tower built at the heart of the labyrinth. Legend says he decorated its halls with the heads of those who had opposed him.
The stronghold did not survive the Cleansing of Lorath: when the Valyrians swept through the island, the tower was destroyed and the labyrinth's stone was blackened by fire.
Chapter 3
The last followers of the Blind God
Books only
Millennia later, the labyrinth temple sheltered the last acolytes of the Blind God, who had fled to the island after a rebellion against their own god.
They remained within its walls until, a century afterward, the last of them died, and the cult died with him.
What we are not sure about
PositionWe worked it out
The position was inferred from the label on the base map rather than from a symbol of its own: it marks the area, not the point.
