Morne
Morne is a set of ruins on the eastern coast of Tarth, the island ruled by House Tarth. Before the island answered to a single throne, it served as the seat from which several petty kings governed.
What little remains standing has raised doubts about who actually built it, setting legend against what the stones themselves suggest.

Before Tarth had a single lord, Morne was the place from which several petty kings of the island ruled, each over their own domain.
That fragmentation ended when the Storm Kings subdued those petty kings and folded their lands under a single rule.

Stone that contradicts the legend

Legend credits the First Men with building Morne. What still stands does not support that version.
The remains of the settlement point instead to Andal builders, not to the people tradition on the island names as its founders.
