Evenfall Hall is the seat of House Tarth, standing on the isle of Tarth off the coast of the Stormlands.
Brienne Tarth, daughter of the house, grew up and learned to fight within its walls, and long before her the castle was visited more than once by Aegon the Conqueror himself.

A king's visits

During his reign, Aegon I Targaryen called at Evenfall Hall on several occasions, the seat of the island's lords since long before the Conquest.
Nothing survives of those visits beyond the fact that they happened more than once, a small detail that says something about the standing Tarth held with the Iron Throne.

Brienne TarthIn that same castle, Brienne Tarth was trained by Ser Goodwin, the master-at-arms of Evenfall Hall.
It was he who taught her to hold a sword, within the same walls that had once housed a king.
