Old Stonebridge
El Viejo Puente de Piedra
Old Stonebridge is an inn in the Crownlands, built over a stone bridge where two rivers meet, beside the road to Duskendale. It is one of the stops where travelers on that route rest, with its common room, guest chambers, and stables.
Chapter 1
The inn by the bridge
Books only
The inn stands on the road to Duskendale, within the Crownlands, beside the meeting of two rivers and straddling the old stone bridge that gives it its name. It is a tall wooden building with diamond-paned windows. In the common room, the plank floor is covered with sawdust, and one of the guest rooms has a low ceiling and a wide bed. Stables for travelers' mounts stand nearby.
Chapter 2
The search for Sansa
Books only
During her search for Sansa Stark, Brienne of Tarth arrives at the inn with several companions, among them Ser Creighton Longbough, who knows the innkeeper. The common room serves goat, goat's milk, bread, and ale. Brienne pays for a room to herself and another shared by Creighton and Ser Illifer; the merchant Hibald separately pays for a room for himself and Ser Shadrick, while his servants sleep in the stables.
Brienne does not stay until morning: she leaves in the middle of the night, leaving Creighton and Illifer behind, still asleep.
