Straits of Fair Isle
On this tab
The Straits of Fair Isle lie some 10 leagues southeast of Fair Isle and about 15 leagues south of Faircastle. Casterly Rock is some 40 leagues to the south. Nothing more is known about the place than its position, and even that is only approximate.
What happened here
The atlas has not yet gathered anything to tell about this place: not a dated event, not a birth, not a death, not a journey.

What we are not sure about
PositionWe worked it out
The position was inferred from the label on the base map rather than from a symbol of its own: it marks the area, not the point.
NameThe sources disagree
The reading of the label on the base map is not certain. What was read was “Straits of Fair Isle”.
Spanish nameWe worked it out
The Spanish name is the atlas’s own reviewed translation, not the one in the published Gigamesh edition, which does not fix it.
