Coryanne Martell
Coryanne Martell was born a princess of Dorne, daughter of Prince Qoren Martell, who ruled the southern realm during the reign of Viserys I Targaryen and the turbulent years of the Dance of the Dragons.
Her mark on the chronicles amounts to little more than a court quarrel: a rivalry among kin that flared when a visitor from across the sea upset the usual balance among the Martells.
Chapter 1
Jealousy at the Dornish court
133 ACBooks only
In 133 AC, Alyn Velaryon, a lord of the house that ruled the seas of the Seven Kingdoms, landed on Dornish shores. His stay at court left no one indifferent: Aliandra Martell, a kinswoman of Coryanne, showered him with smiles and closeness that did not go unnoticed.
Coryanne, daughter of Qoren Martell, took poorly to such warmth shown to the outsider, and shared her irritation with one of her brothers. The episode survives only as a brief note of jealousy within Dorne's ruling house, in the years when her father held the principality during the reign of Viserys I and the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons.
