Robin Massey
Ser Robin Massey was a knight of House Massey who wore, for a very short while, the white cloak of Lord Commander of the Kingsguard under King Aegon III Targaryen. His appointment lasted only as long as it took the regent ruling the realm to strike it down, one more clash between the will of a boy king and the council governing in his name.

A white cloak that didn't last

Aegon III TargaryenAfter the winter fever of 133 AC, which killed Ser Willis Fell and two other Kingsguard knights, the young Aegon III handed out new white cloaks. He chose Ser Robin Massey and Ser Robert Darklyn, placing the former at the head of the order and passing over the man next in seniority, Ser Marston Mares.
The decision did not hold. Lord Unwin Peake, regent of the realm, had the backing of Grand Maester Munkun to strike down the king's appointments outright: a boy of twelve, Peake argued, lacked the judgment to decide such matters on his own. Marston Mares was confirmed in the post Aegon III had denied him. The king protested that white cloaks were worn for life, and Peake answered that this only held if the appointment had been proper to begin with.

Killed over a horse

Ser Robin died over a dispute that had nothing to do with the court or the Kingsguard: he and Tessario the Tiger both wanted to buy the same horse. Tessario killed him for it, in King's Landing, the same year in which he had worn and lost the white cloak.
