Casa Foote
House Foote is a noble family of the Westerlands, sworn to the Lannisters of Casterly Rock since a time that reaches back into the golden age of the First Men. Its sigil, a copper dagger across a black chevron on a white field, sets it apart among the region's lesser nobility.
No record grants it a seat of its own, but one of its members undergoes a rise that carries the Foote name beyond the Westerlands and gives birth to a new branch of the house.

Arya StarkWhen Lord Tywin Lannister leaves Harrenhal at the head of his forces, the Footes' copper dagger passes before the eyes of Arya Stark, a captive among the marching troops.
It is a brief mention, almost in passing, but it records that the house rides with the bulk of the Lannister host.
Chapter 3
A new lord for Nightsong

After the Battle of the Blackwater, Ser Philip Foote is granted the lordship of Nightsong along with the lands, rights and income that had belonged to House Caron.
The promotion founds a new branch of the family, House Foote of Nightsong, which from then on follows its own path away from the Westerlands.
