House Grandison of Grandview is a minor house of the Stormlands, sworn to House Baratheon. Its sigil, a sleeping lion on a golden field, carries a motto that reads almost like a warning: Rouse Me Not.
The house enters the wider history of the realm through the side it took in the war that put Robert Baratheon on the Iron Throne, when Grandview backed the cause that ended up losing.

The losing side

When the realm split between the throne and the man who rose against it, the lords of Grandview did not stay out of it: their loyalty went to the Targaryens, not to the neighbor who would end up ruling their own region.
That loyalty took them to Grandview, where they joined a wider plan: pooling their strength with two other local houses to meet the rebels in a single battle. Robert never gave them that chance. He met them one at a time, army after army, and broke them before they could join up.
Of the lords caught up in that plan, at least one ended up a prisoner after the defeat.
