House Shell was a First Men house settled in the Fingers, in the Vale of Arryn, whose lords bore the title King of the Fingers. Its rule ended with the Andal invasion, when the old petty kingdoms of the Vale fell.

The bonfire in the hall

Dywen, the last king of House Shell in the Fingers, fought Jon Brightstone, another lord who likewise claimed the title King of the Fingers. To defeat him, Dywen sought the help of a band of Andal lords newly arrived in the region.
The alliance turned against him: the Andals trapped him among the flames of his own hall and left him to die there. With Dywen dead, Ser Corwyn Corbray took his widow and the lordship of the Fingers for himself, and House Shell disappeared from the region.
