The Cities of the Bloodless Men are a group of settlements in Essos whose exact location no one has ever pinned down, said to lie somewhere between the Womb of the World and the Shivering Sea. What little is told of them arrives as travelers' rumor, not confirmed report.
Location and legends
These cities are said to sit somewhere on the plains northeast of the Grey Mountains, but no account fixes a real position: they lie between the Womb of the World and the Shivering Sea, and that is as far as anything verifiable goes.
The stories told about their people belong to the kind traded around a campfire and denied the next morning: men and women pale as corpses. Some versions push further and claim it isn't a figure of speech at all — that they are actual corpses, drained of blood and raised again by some rite no one bothers to describe.
