The Dry Deep

The Dry Deep is a deep depression cut into the land at the far eastern edge of Essos, wedged among other remote reaches of that stretch of the world. Almost nothing is known of it beyond where it lies and what its own name promises.
Chapter 1
A canyon with no water

The Dry Deep sits boxed in among already-known landmarks of eastern Essos. Ciudad de los Huesos marks its northwestern edge; further west lie los Cinco Fuertes and la Tierra de los Shrykes, with K'Dath also to the northwest. To the north lie the Desierto Gris and las Arenas de los Caníbales, and to the south, las Ciudades de los Hombres Sin Sangre.
Almost nothing else is known of its interior beyond what its own name already says: a deep canyon with no water running through it and nothing living in it.

The Spanish name is the atlas’s own reviewed translation, not the one in the published Gigamesh edition, which does not fix it.
