Dyre Den
Refugio de Malacosta
Dyre Den is the castle of House Brune of Dyre Den, built on a sea cliff at the point where the road out of Maidenpool ends. It isn't a place anyone stumbles upon: the path leading up to its towers is hidden in a cleft in the rock.
Its name enters the story through a brief episode: while searching for a jester looking to take ship elsewhere, Brienne of Tarth passed by its walls without going in.
Chapter 1
Three crooked towers

The castle is small, with three towers that lean rather than stand straight. It sits on the edge of a cliff above the sea, at the far end of the road running from Maidenpool.
Reaching it means climbing a steep, stony path, partly cut into steps in the rock itself, hidden in a cleft in the cliff face. It is the seat of House Brune of Dyre Den.
