Ghaston Grey is a tiny, rocky island lost in the Sea of Dorne, crowned by a ruined castle that Westeros keeps for prisoners no one wants to see again.
It isn't a fortress anyone visits: it's a one-way destination, the place someone is sent when the goal is to make them disappear without having to kill them.
Chapter 1
A prison in the sea

Off the coast of Dorne, out in the Sea of Dorne, a crag rises topped by the remains of a castle nobody bothers to repair anymore. Little grows there, and no one lives on the rock by choice.
Westeros uses those ruins as a prison for criminals judged too dangerous for an ordinary dungeon. Men are sent to Ghaston Grey to waste away, and those who know the place count it among the worst anyone can be condemned to.
