Godsgrace
Bondadivina
Godsgrace is the seat of House Allyrion, built in Dorne where the Vaith and the Scourge meet to form the Greenblood.
Its lords once ruled as kings before Dorne was a single realm, and the castle's name is tied to one of the more remembered images of Aegon's conquest: a stronghold with no one left to greet the invader.
Chapter 1
The seat of the Allyrion kings
Books only
When the Andals crossed the sea and reached Dorne, House Allyrion settled where the Vaith and the Scourge meet to form the Greenblood, and there they raised their castle.
From Godsgrace they ruled not as mere lords but as kings in their own right, one of several crowns Dorne held before the land was drawn together under a single house.
Chapter 2
The queen's flight along the Vaith
Books only
When Aegon and his sisters brought the war to Westeros, Rhaenys Targaryen followed the line of the Vaith on dragonback until she reached Godsgrace.
She met no resistance, because she met no one: the Allyrions had emptied the castle before she arrived, leaving behind nothing but open gates and an abandoned hall.
