New Ibbish
New Ibbish is the city the Ibbenese raised on the northern coast of Essos once they could no longer hold on to their home island. Set on a peninsula by the Shivering Sea, it was built to keep some grip on what was left of their territory, and those who pass through don't come away with much fondness for the place.
Chapter 1
The city that isn't Ibbish
Books only
When the Ibbenese had to give up their island, they crossed to the mainland and founded this city to keep some hold over what was left of their territory. They built it on a small peninsula, with a large forest nearby that borders the Ifequevron lands.
It's defended by a wall of earth and timber nearly as long as the Night's Watch's own, though only a third as tall: an earthwork studded with watchtowers and fronted by a deep ditch.
Sailors who pass through don't speak well of it. They call it a grim, squalid place, closer in spirit to Ib Sar than to the thriving Ibbish the Dothraki once reduced to ruins.
