Saath
Saath is a small port city in Essos, set at a river mouth where the Shivering Sea beats against white walls. It is the only thing still standing from the old Kingdom of Sarnor, whose other cities fell centuries ago.
Chapter 1
The last Sarnori port

North of what was once the Kingdom of Sarnor, Saath sits at a river mouth opening onto the Shivering Sea. A valyrian road links it southward to Vaes Khadokh; to the west lie the ruins of Vaes Graddakh, and further northwest stands Morosh.
When the Century of Blood followed the Doom of Valyria, dothraki riders tore down the Sarnori cities one by one, among them Sarys, once Saath's twin. Only Saath, shielded by its white walls, was left standing.
Its people still call themselves the tagaez fen and still pray to the hundred gods of Sarnor, though of the millions who once worshipped them fewer than twenty thousand remain. The city gets by on trade with the Ibbenese and with Lorath, the latter drawn close by its colony at Morosh.
The physical world
