Sisterton
Villahermana
Sisterton is the port ruled by House Borrell, set on the coast of Sweetsister, one of the Three Sisters.
Beyond the islands it is known above all for its reputation: elsewhere in Westeros people point to it as a regular haunt of smugglers.
Chapter 1
The Borrell port
Books only
The town is small, huddled around its harbour, and serves as the seat of House Borrell. Sitting on Sweetsister puts it at the heart of the Three Sisters, that cluster of islands that lives with its back turned to the rest of the realm.
That distance from the court and the great lords has done much to build its name: beyond the islands, people speak of Sisterton as a place where the laws of Westeros carry less weight.
Chapter 2
The lamp and the gallows
Books only
The town has a lighthouse, the Night Lamp, which is meant to guide ships safely into harbour. It doesn't always do that job: some say it is darkened on purpose from time to time, so that a merchant vessel runs aground in the dark and is left ripe for plunder.
And there is a gallows, the Sisterton gallows, kept for the smugglers whose luck runs out. Between the lamp that misleads and the rope waiting for those who lose, the whole town seems to live off that same two-faced trade.
