Vale of Shadows

el Valle de las Sombras

The Vale of Shadows is a hollow within the Shadow Lands, hemmed in by mountains and cut by two rivers that run down to the Jade Sea.

Where those rivers meet stand the ruins of Stygai, the Night City, and it is said that sunlight only ever reaches the valley at noon.

Chapter 1

A valley without light

Books only

Ringed by mountains, the valley receives two rivers that flow down to the Jade Sea, and it is this double course that shapes it within the Shadow Lands.

Where the two rivers meet lie the ruins of Stygai, the Night City, set right at the junction of the waters.

Of this place one thing is said that is enough to explain its name: that sunlight only ever enters the valley at noon, leaving it dark the rest of the day.
