House Farwynd of Sealskin Point
Casa Farwynd de Punta Piel de Foca
At the farthest edge of Gran Wyk, where the rock drops into the Sunset Sea, stands the seat of House Farwynd of Sealskin Point, one of the families that answer to the Greyjoys of Pyke.
Other things are said about them that aren't said of the rest of the ironborn: that their blood comes from somewhere further than the islands, and that some of them aren't entirely men.
Chapter 1
Lords of the farthest point
Books only
House Farwynd holds its seat at Sealskin Point, on Gran Wyk, and answers as a vassal to House Greyjoy. It carries the title Lord of Sealskin Point, held today by Triston Farwynd.
Ironborn maps mark Sealskin Point as a headland, the tongue of land reaching into the sea, rather than the exact site of the castle: the point marks a bearing, not necessarily the gate of the lordship.
Chapter 2
Those who change their skin
Books only
Farwynd blood doesn't stay at Sealskin Point: branches of the house are scattered across Gran Wyk, and some of them live on small islands that take nine days to reach by sea. One of those branches has come down with a name of its own: House Farwynd of Lonely Light.
Of the people from those farthest islands, things are said that are said of no other ironborn line: that they are strange folk, and some swear that a few of them can take the shape of a sea beast and back again.
