Acorn Hall
Torreón Bellota
Acorn Hall is the seat of House Smallwood, a castle built of oak and ringed with stone walls in the riverlands.
Its gates saw a king arrive on dragonback, an army that tried to slow a Lannister advance, and later an orphaned wolf girl looking for a lord who could not die.
Chapter 1
The hall of oak
53 ACBooks only
House Smallwood's castle is built of oak within its outer stone wall, not the usual keep of hewn rock.
In the year 53 AC, King Jaehaerys I Targaryen stopped there during his progress through the realm, arriving on the back of Vermithor.
Chapter 2
A brief dam against the lions
130 ACBooks only
Acorn Hall became a battlefield during the Dance of the Dragons, when Lannister troops were crossing the riverlands.
Lord Petyr Piper's forces, joined with those of the castle's lord, managed to hold them there, though only for a while.
Chapter 3
A table set in wartime
Books only
Lord Theomar Smallwood leaves the castle to follow his liege, Lord Vance, leaving his wife Lady Ravella in command while he is gone.
Within those walls Ravella receives Arya Stark and the Brotherhood without Banners, who are tracking down Lord Beric Dondarrion. She tells them the latest news of the war and feeds them before they move on.

The Spanish name is the atlas’s own reviewed translation, not the one in the published Gigamesh edition, which does not fix it.
