Petyr Piper

Petyr Piper was lord of Castillo de la Princesa Rosada and head of House Piper during the reign of Viserys I Targaryen.

When Rhaenyra Targaryen was named Princess of Dragonstone and heir to the Iron Throne, Piper was among the lords who swore her their loyalty, a pledge he upheld when the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons broke out.

In 105 AC, when Rhaenyra Targaryen was proclaimed Princess of Dragonstone and heir to her father, Petyr Piper gave her his sword and his word. As lord of Castillo de la Princesa Rosada and head of House Piper, his backing carried weight along the Trident.

Twenty-four years later, in 129 AC, when the succession dispute turned into the war known as the Dance of the Dragons, Piper reaffirmed that same loyalty.

Chapter 2

The fall at the Red Fork

In 130 AC, Petyr Piper led his forces against the armies of Lord Jason Lannister at the Red Fork. During the battle he knighted Pate of Longleaf, naming him Longleaf the Lionslayer, after Pate dealt Lord Jason a mortal wound.

Piper died that same year at Torreón Bellota. According to Mushroom, his heart gave out at the sight of his favorite grandson's head mounted on a spike. He was succeeded by Lord Stanton Piper, who may or may not have been his son.
