Ashford Meadow is the stretch of open ground on the outskirts of the town and castle of Ashford, in the Reach, beside the Cockleswent river.
It owes its place in the realm's memory to a single event: the great tournament held there in 209 AC, one of the most remembered in Targaryen history.

In 209 AC the meadow, on the edge of the town, hosted the lists of a great tournament that drew knights from across the realm.
During those jousts a trial by combat of seven champions to a side was fought there. In the midst of that clash Prince Baelor Targaryen, then serving as Hand of the King, fell.
