Brindlewood

Brindlewood is the seat of House Santagar, tucked into southeastern Dorne among Los Tablones, Limonar, and Aguahedionda.
Its name surfaces in accounts of the First Dornish War, when it fell to the Crown without a single sword raised to defend it.

The keep with no defenders

During the First Dornish War, Queen Rhaenys Targaryen rode into Brindlewood after putting Los Tablones to the torch and before pushing on toward Lanza del Sol.
She found no one to fight her there — only children and old men remained, and the keep fell without a battle.

The knight and his sand steeds

In his own account of the conquest of Dorne, King Daeron I Targaryen recorded a habit of the keep's lord: the Knight of Brindlewood stabled his sand steeds inside his own hall.
