Lordsport

When Robert Baratheon landed on Pyke to crush Balon Greyjoy's rebellion, Lordsport was the first to fall. The town and its old keep burned on Robert's own order, and for years the harbour was little more than a ring of blackened ruins around the bay.

Rebuilding took time, but it came. Lord Sawane Botley raised a new castle out of stone far sturdier than the small square tower that had burned, and the townsfolk built their homes again from the rubble of the ones they'd lost. Otter Gimpknee's inn reopened larger than before, with a stone-floored hall and two wooden storeys above it. The sept, though, was never rebuilt: those who lived by the harbour turned instead to the Drowned God.

Theon Greyjoy landed at Lordsport aboard the Myraham, back from Varamar and bound for Pyke to meet his father. Waiting on the dock was a woman who called herself Esgred; only later would he learn she was his own sister Asha, who led him to the castle without ever telling him who she was.

Soon after, Balon Greyjoy closed the port to the merchant ships that used to sail from there, determined that no word of his war plans should reach the mainland too soon.

The captain of the Myraham told King Robb Stark that, barely a day after Balon Greyjoy's death, a ship had dropped anchor at Lordsport: the Silence, belonging to Euron, Balon's brother, long absent from the islands.

Now proclaimed King of the Iron Islands, Euron demanded that Lord Sawane Botley swear him fealty and acknowledge Theon, Euron's own nephew, as heir to the Seastone Chair. Sawane refused both, and Euron drowned him for it. Lordship of Lordsport passed to his brother, Germund Botley.
