Qarkash
Qarkash is a port city in Essos, standing on the shores of the Summer Sea and subject to the rule of Qarth.
Its place on the map wedges it between the Red Waste and the ruins of Vaes Qosar, on a coastline where Qarth's power reaches well beyond its own walls.

A port under another name

Qarkash does not rule its own coastline: it answers to Qarth, the city that lends it both name and law from the east. It sits southeast of the Red Waste, facing the Summer Sea, with the ruins of Vaes Qosar as a silent neighbor beyond its walls.
To the west, Yhos marks the next point along the coast. Between the two there is little but water and the same Qarthine shadow that falls over both ports.
