Southshield is one of the Shield Islands, set where the Mander meets the sea, and for generations it was the seat of House Serry. Its history changed hands the day the ironborn took the whole archipelago by force.

Euron GreyjoySerry rule over the island ended with Euron Greyjoy's arrival. In the Battle of the Shield Islands the ironborn seized Southshield along with the rest of the archipelago, and King Euron granted its lordship to Andrik the Unsmiling.
