Sow's Horn

Cuerno de la Puerca

Sow's Horn is the seat of House Hogg, a stone tower built near the boundary between the Crownlands and the Riverlands, next to the lands of House Hayford.

Its name comes up almost only for a single stopover, that of a Lannister passing through a region bled dry by war.

Chapter 1

House Hogg's tower

Books only

The stronghold consists of a stone tower whose walls run eight feet thick, built to withstand rather than to impress.

It stands in the Crownlands, right against the border with the Riverlands, with the lands of House Hayford as its neighbor.

Chapter 2

A stop on the road to Darry

Books only

In this chapterJaime Lannister

Ser Jaime Lannister stopped at the tower on his way to Darry. There, Ser Roger Hogg told him about the attacks they had suffered, coming from one side and the other alike.

No further word survives of Sow's Horn beyond that visit — a small place touched by the war from both directions, with hardly anyone outside it the wiser.
