Stone Head

Cabeza de Piedra

Stone Head is a lonely crag at the northern edge of the Summer Isles, the last land rising from the Summer Sea before Sothoryos.

It takes its name from a face carved into the cliff of its northern coast, the work of a people no one remembers anymore.

Chapter 1

The northernmost island

Books only

Within the chain of the Summer Isles, Stone Head sits furthest north, off the coast of Sothoryos, out in the waters of the Summer Sea.

It is a small island, without the standing of others in the chain, known mostly for what can be seen sailing past it rather than for anything found on its shores.

Chapter 2

The face of a forgotten god

Books only

At some point in the past the island had inhabitants whose name and memory have not survived.

What remains of them is the cliff on the northern coast, carved into the likeness of a god no one can now identify.

For islanders sailing out from the Summer Isles, that stone face is the last thing they see before land drops from sight.
